The Five Hives Experience:

A Day At The Hive

At Five Hives & Vines, we believe that the best way to enjoy a glass of mead is with the sun on your back and a cool breeze through the pines. Bring your family, friends, or significant other. Located in the heart of the Georgia countryside next to Kennedy Pond, our meadery is more than just a tasting room—it’s a destination for families, nature lovers, craft beverage enthusiasts, and those seeking a slower pace of life. Come fly a kite and let the kids run in the field.

Explore the Property

Whether you are here for a quick visit or a full afternoon, there is plenty of room to roam.

The ‘Bee-Line’ Trails: Wander through our walking paths that wind through the property and connect to the serene Kennedy Pond Conservancy. It’s the perfect spot for birdwatching or a quiet stroll in the fresh air.

The Picnic Field: Bring a blanket and find your favorite spot under the wide Georgia sky. Our expansive field is open for guests to spread out and relax.

Lawn Games: Ready for some friendly competition? Our tasting room features Corn Hole and other lawn games for guests of all ages to enjoy. Or you are welcome to bring your own games, too!

Tradition At The Heart:

“Tell The Bees”

We invite you to participate in an ancient beekeeping tradition known as “Telling the Bees.” Historically, beekeepers would share the news of their lives—joys, sorrows, and milestones—with the hive to keep the bees part of the family. Visit our designated “Telling Spot” on the property to whisper your own news, wishes, or reflections to our five (more or less) hives.

The Tasting Room

Come inside and discover the art of mead-making.

Mead Mixology: Experience mead in a whole new light with our signature mead-based mixed drinks. We’ve crafted a menu of creative cocktails that highlight the versatility of honey wine, from refreshing spritzers to bold, botanic fusions.

Mead Tastings: Sample our full range of traditional and session meads. From the crisp, floral notes of our flagship Cotillion to our experimental small batches, there is a flavor profile for every palate.

Curated Craft Beers: For the traditional pint lover, we proudly pour a rotating selection of premium craft beers. Whether you’re a hop-head or a stout enthusiast, we have a cold tap waiting for you alongside our mead offerings.

Zero-Proof Options: We are proud to offer refreshing, Zero-Proof beverages for our younger guests, designated drivers, or anyone looking for a delicious non-alcoholic alternative.

Plan Your Visit:
Know Before You Go

Pet Policy: We love our four-legged friends! Well-mannered, leashed pets are more than welcome to join you on our walking trails and in the picnic field. Please ensure they remain on a leash at all times for the safety of our local wildlife and other guests.
